We made it through the fires. For those of you who read my blog and have been keeping up with me and my family, I want you all to know God is faithful and has shown His favor towards us. There was a close call of the Witch Creek Fire coming our way but the hand of the Lord stopped it. There's so much damage surrounding us however, our place was un touched. I have a few pictures and a video to show you some of what took place. Keep in mind though, it's totally different actually seeing it. People told me how bad everything was but once I saw it for myself the sorrow for all the loss really sunk in. I can not thank the fire crews and workers enough for putting their lives on the line to save all that they did. God, you are truly amazing to spare what You have and I know that you will be comfort to all the family's that are now without.

Given the pictures on your blog what do you think of retired Cal Fire Capt. Fred Daskoski, recalled to duty for this fire storm and speaking about the devastation, rather than in support of the pleas for more tourism, said:
"We're not out of the woods yet."
Looking at what you have posted - there ain't too many woods left!
